Hello everyone, and greetings on this fine end to 2021! Hard to believe it’s been over a year since we released the single-VA version of Fallout Equestria that began several years ago. Of course our work isn't quite done yet, with our backer rewards and stretch goals still progressing, and we appreciate your patience through the process. Work on the multi-VA “Wasteland Echoes” edition of the audiobook is progressing slowly but surely. Wubcake, our editor, and male VA are hard at work and have made significant progress, especially in the last few months. While work is happening simultaneously throughout the book, we’ve progressed to the point that we’re starting to have chapters wrapped and ready for mastering. In fact, we have some finalized Wasteland Echoes audio for you to ring in the new year with. More on that below. A large roadblock for the project over the past several months has been the physical backer rewards. We’ve been trying to avoid shipping out different rewards at different times, but this has meant delaying already finished goods to await those still in progress. Of particular concern have been the 12” LP record and bonus audio CD. It was important to us to have some stretch goal content, with multiple VAs and sound effects, included on these permanent physical discs. I’m pleased to announce that we have finished mastering at least one such track, and have all of the additional content for the discs recorded. That finished track is a very special treat for our backers: a bonus 4th-wall breaking “table read” featuring the story’s characters playing themselves for the audio production. The voice work, sound effects, and production quality are what you can expect for the Wasteland Echoes release. As for those who backed the project on Indiegogo: 100% of excess contributions after project expenses (VA work, physical rewards, etc.) will be donated to IPPNW. A full accounting of project finances will be released upon fulfillment of the original backer rewards and stretch goals.
